Almost Home

I left the hospital last Wednesday, but Kaylee and Audrey had to stay. We go to see them twice a day. They are doing great. Kaylee is off the oxygen. The level in her blood is normal now; her lungs are working great. She is such a big girl. She is a very happy baby and doesn't fuzz very much. Kaylee can fall asleep just about anywhere. Audrey on the other hand is "little miss attitude". She is a little harder to please, but she is very alert and awake. We think she is going to be a firecracker like her oldest sister Emily.
When we go see them we can hold them, feed them, change their diapers, and take their temperature now. The only thing they have left to do is finish all their
feeding on their own. They have a little tube that goes in their nose
to their little stomach. When they get too tired to finish the breast
milk in the bottle they are fed through the tube. It is pretty cool, but I am sure it feels a little weird for them.
We still don't know exactly when we will be able to bring them home. The most important thing is that they are well, and after a few set backs they are only improving now. We know we'll have them home soon.

Me dieron de alta del hospital el miercoles pasado, pero Kaylee y Audrey se tuvieron que quedar. Hemos estado visitandolas dos veces al dia y estan muy bien. Kaylee ya no necesita oxigeno.
El nivel en su sangre es normal y sus pulmones estan funcionando
perfectamente. Ella es una bebe muy feliz. Se puede quedar dormida
en cualquier lado y no es dificil contentarla si esta llorando. A diferencia de su hermantia Audrey que es bastante enojoncita. Pero Audrey siempre esta muy alerta y despierta. Zach y yo creemos que va a tener la misma chispa que su hermana mayor Emily.
Cuando vamos al hospital las podemos cargar, cambiar, tomarles la temperatura y darles de comer. Lo unico que tienen que lograr para dejar el hospital es terminarse toda su leche por si mismas. Kaylee y Audrey tienen un tubito que entra por su nariz hasta su estomaguito. Cuando ya no pueden terminarse su leche en la botella
porque estan muy cansadas para seguir, se les da la comida por el
tubito. Es interesante ver como funciona, pero estoy segura de que
se siente medio chistoso recibir la comida por un tubo.
Todavia no sabemos exactament cuando las vamos a traer a casa. Lo mas importante es que ellas esten bien. Despues de tomar unos pasitos para atras, ahora ellas solo estan mejorando. Y estamos seguros que pronto las tendremos en casa.
